LtCas12a Nuclease

Product Introduction

LtCas12a is a thermophilic Type V-A CRISPR nuclease derived from Lachnospiraceae thermophila. As a unique member of the Cas12a family, its thermostability characteristic provides significant advantages for specific application scenarios. This protein fully retains the typical biochemical properties of the Cas12a family: it recognizes a T-rich PAM sequence (5'-TTTV-3'), sequentially cleaves double-stranded DNA through a single RuvC nuclease domain, and generates approximately 5-7 nt 5' overhangs (sticky ends). LtCas12a also possesses the ability to process precursor crRNA and exhibits trans-cleavage activity upon target activation.

The most prominent feature of LtCas12a lies in its thermophilic adaptation—it maintains stable nuclease activity and structural integrity under elevated temperature conditions.
